Planning a Stay in Oualidia

When is the best time to visit Oualidia?

Oualidia is a year-round destination, with each season offering a different experience. In the sheltered setting of the lagoon, La Sultana enjoys mild temperatures and protection from Atlantic winds, with daytime temperatures typically reaching around 18 °C in winter and 27 °C in summer.

Spring and autumn are particularly rewarding for birdwatching, as migratory birds visit the lagoon.

Winter offers a quieter atmosphere, ideal for coastal walks, nature and time at the spa. Please note that the hotel closes for its annual winter break in January. Our reservations team can confirm the exact closure and reopening dates.

Summer brings a livelier seaside atmosphere, with Atlantic breezes offering a welcome escape from the heat of inland Morocco. It is a wonderful season for swimming, surfing and enjoying the lagoon. During local holiday periods, Oualidia becomes busier, and some excursions may be limited or unavailable. Our concierge can advise on the best options for your dates.
